In the interim since the last albums update, I’ve listened to twenty new LPs. Like most works of art, I, as someone whose ability to create art isn’t particularly impressive, can at least appreciate the majority of them. There are a few outliers, of course. The new Vampire Weekend was such a stark drop-off from Modern Vampires of the City, and the whiplash of loving that record and loathing this one so harsh, that it just had to be one of the lowest ranking LPs of the year so far. It was my civic duty.
